Packwood Washington Packwood Lake Real Photo Postcard
Packwood Lake, a pristine glacial lake situated in the Cascade Mountains of Washington State, holds historical significance as a remote natural landmark. Both the lake and the nearby town of Packwood are believed to be named after William Packwood, a prominent pioneer, surveyor, and legislator who played a role in the exploration and development of the Washington Territory during the mid-to-late 19th century. Prior to European-American settlement, the area was part of the ancestral lands of indigenous peoples, notably the Cowlitz Tribe.
